FLASH:  DRF: LIVE STREAMING FOR HOLLYWOOD PARK SUNDAY
Marketing Mix takes on the boys in the last running of the Sunset at Hollywood Park

IT'S ON THE TURF THIS WEEKEND! Two Grade 1 plus other important turf races in U.S., plus two Group 1 races overseas top this week's racing fare!

A big wave of important turf races crests over the racing world this weekend, from Europe through the East Coast to Chicago and on west.

Saturday's Delaware Oaks could be an early stepping stone to the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic. And there's a small clutch of races for the 2-year-old set on both dirt and turf.

But by any measure, the green course is the place to be, with 10 graded stakes races from 1 mile out to 1 1/2 miles in the United States alone.

"Million Preview Day" Saturday at Arlington Park points directly to that track's three Grade I races Aug. 17. The grassy events at Belmont and Hollywood Park foreshadow later showdowns at Saratoga and Del Mar. And don't overlook Colonial Downs and Delaware Park.

A big litter of "Kittens" is running around, too. Yes, those "Kittens."

It's an exciting time, so read on.  Read more at source

Darley July Cup
No less than six individual Group 1 winners – exactly half of the 12-strong line-up – will contest Saturday's £500,000 ($750,000 US) Darley July Cup, the highlight of the three-day Piper Heidsieck July Festival, at Newmarket’s July Course.

The six-furlong speed test, which is both the fourth race in the sprint division of the QIPCO British Champions Series and the seventh leg of the Global Sprint Challenge, has attracted all the principal players from the only two Group 1 sprint races to have been run in Europe so far this season.

Lethal Force, Society Rock and Krypton Factor, the first three from the Diamond Jubilee Stakes, run over this distance at Royal Ascot last month, will cross swords again.

Battle of Marengo, is the 131-pound highweight off his second-place finish in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes last month at Ascot.

Paris Grand Prix
Eight are entered for the Prix de Paris on Saturday, with Battle of Marengo the 131-pound highweight off his second-place finish in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes last month at Ascot. Ocovango returns to action after suffering his first career defeat in the Epsom Derby.

NOTES:
Since many of us have become enamored of horseracing overseas, here are a couple of fairly new events we should know a little more about.
