ONE OF THE BEST TO EVER LOOK THROUGH A BRIDLE -- HOLY BULL
With Sunday's Haskell and the upcoming Travers, it is appropriate to celebrate one of the greatest to put a nose through a bridle, HOLY BULL. Mike Smith and Tom Durkin recall the magic of the Bull!  As a 3 year old he did everything you could ask of a horse as a sophomore: He won the Travers S.(G1), Florida Derby (G1), Metropolitan H. (G1), Haskell Invitational H. (G1), Woodward S. (G1). Although he did not win the Kentucky Derby, he did sire a Kentucky Derby winner - Giacomo, ridden by the Bull's jockey, Mike Smith.

LEGENDS - JIM DANDY UPSETS GALLANT FOX 100/1 in 1930's Travers
When horses achieve greatness, or accomplish particularly memorable feats, it is customary for stakes races to be named in their honor. Across the country, there are races the bear the names of legends like Man o' War, Secretariat, Kelso, and Cigar; even more recent greats like Zenyatta, Rachel Alexandra, and Wise Dan are remembered with stakes races.
Every summer, Saratoga Race Course in New York hosts the Jim Dandy Stakes (gr. II), a major prep for the prestigious Travers Stakes (gr. I) later in the Saratoga meet. It is only fitting that the Jim Dandy Stakes is a prep for the Travers, since it was in the 1930 Travers that an unassuming 3-year-old chestnut colt pulled off one of the most astonishing upsets in the history of horse racing to ensure that his name would never be forgotten. WAYS TO WATCH THE RACES
http://www.xbtv.com/  Jeff Siegel, Aaron Vercruysse, Millie Ball
Check out Television Fanatic - Free live streaming     Check out streaming and Live TV sources
New TV show will broadcast racing Saratogba Live across America
“The launch of Saratoga Live on July 22 means that, for the first time, the best racing in America from the most historic venue will be broadcast to a national audience of more than 65 million homes. The prospect of reaching experienced horseplayers where they live, while expanding our ability to develop new fans, is something about which everyone at NYRA is extremely excited.”

While FS2 and Altitude will air only the Saratoga show, MSG+ will carry Belmont Park Live from Sept. 9 through Oct. 2 with a special presentation added on Oct. 22 for the track’s New York Showcase Day. Allevato is hopeful of adding more shows in 2017, and while Belmont Park Live and Saratoga Live might be television shows, they are also a hub for NYRA to make use of its other platforms, such as its HD mobile app.

NYRA races are also shown on Roku and in the fall there are plans to launch new apps for IOS and Android, Apple TV and Amazon Fire. In 2017, apps for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be added.
